Taste of Parenting

Last Saturday our wonderful neighbors Jeffrey and Tricia Fioranelli celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary. Congratulations you two! So Bob and I along with Charles Danna and Katherine Anne Phelps took the girls for the night. We started off with dinner at Airport Grocery which went great even though Ella and Mary Michael didn't take a nap that day. Following supper we came back home to get ready for bed. Our goal was to have them ready for bed and asleep before Jeffrey and Tricia returned home. Just as we had planned they were asleep for about 45 minutes prior to them returning. We all had a great time and look forward to doing it again.

The Flood

The rising of the river!! When the river came up so did everyone's nerves. Bob and I boated back and forth every weekend for a month checking on our cabin on the river. We were very fortunate to be so high up on the bank that we didn't receive any damages to our place. The weekend before the river began to fall it just barely covered the bottom step. What an adventure! Below are some of the pictures from the course of the month.

This deer stand is 12ft. tall and it was eventually underwater!

The water is getting higher and higher

Mexico

Mexico---What a blast we had! The day after it snowed in March we headed to Playa del Carmen, Mexico for a week. Bob and I were joined be Stephen and Merideth VanNamen and Hunter and Ann Nowell. We had the best time! The vacation started off in leftover snow and ended up in sunny Mexico. During our trip we stayed at the Grand Mayan Resort which was wonderful. Below are some pictures from our trip. We look forward to our next trip with them!

The Beginning

I have been admiring my friend's blogs for so long, and I have realized this is the best way to keep everyone updated on everything. So I picked the middle of the year to begin my blog. This would probably be the busiest time of the year for Bob and I but here we go... The post to follow will be events that have happened this year up to this point. I am glad to say I am now a fellow blogger! Thanks Lesley, your blog was my first to look at and now I see how great they can be.
